Hi Jon,
Here is a couple photos of our
1952 Glasspar G-2. This car is also shown on the American Sports
car web site, when it was owned by a previous dealer.
While we are a dealer, this is one car we are not working very
hard at selling, we love it. The car appears to be well built
and sturdy. A couple people have suggested it was one of the
factory built cars as it appears to be a Glasspar chassis, if
not certainly well done and followed the patters well. It has
two very functional doors and a removable hardtop, wind-wings,
and side curtains. it runs a Ford 292 Y block V8 with the
original Ford 3-speed from when it must have had a flathead in
it earlier. Typical Glasspar/Ford suspension and brakes with
Ford wheels.
We would really like to trace the car's history. We bought the
car from Hyman Ltd. in St. Louis. They bought it at the Fall
Auburn Auction last year and I was told that it was sold at the
auction by Ragtops, of West Palm Beach, Florida. and that is
about all we know.
We we got the car it had Woodill
Wildfire badging and Hyman was offering as a Woodill, but of
course it is a Glasspar G-2. We pulled the badging and have had
the title corrected properly.
If anyone knows who built this car
or it's history before it was in Florida we would love to know
anything.
Thanks,
Bob Lichty,
