My G-2 was at one
point purchased for the Mitchell Museum. Other museum purchases
filled their transport in Denver. So it was re-sold. I got wind of
it at a Denver Area Swap Meet and made a deal on the spot site
un-seen. (lucked-out). Having met Bill Tritt in 1961, it fit right
in to my collection. Mitchell-Bentley built glass bodies for
Packard, Corvette and Plymouth. In 1965 to 1967 Corvette bodies were produced in the former
M-B Ionia woodie plant by a company of family interest. I saw their
restored G-2 in 1992 on my way to Road America Historic where I got
re-acquainted with Bill Devin. -- Hugh -- |
