La Dawri Daytona - - Henry J

The car sat from the early 60's just outside Harbor Beach, Mi  the chassis was complete with the empty chevy block now brakes (the chassis could have been unused as the hyd. brake lines came up to the frame and never had the steel lines installed the doors were screwed shut with a new about 14" driveshaft wired into the bottom of the passenger side door! The engine was mounted but a early corvette style front mounting plate between the water pump and the block ending in two biscuit mounts at the sides!) I mounted a 69 Buick lesabre column, 67 caprice HD power glide and a 18k mi 66 Chevy 283 and added a 69 AMC dual master cyl as it had the brake switch on it. I owned it from 1979 until about 2000.  I believe My car was shipped by La Dawri with the Henry J
chassis and engine block in it.  I had the car running in the 80's (Not Legally) and with L60 x15 Tires on the rear it was scary fast and as light as it was didn't seem to need a lot of gears as torque was great! And I could get myself arrested easily as fast as the car was! (I Didn't)
